On October 26th and 27th private investigators from across West Virginia flocked to Morgantown for the 2012 Private Investigators and Security Professionals of West Virginia (PISPWV) Annual Training Conference. For details on the success of the conference, we caught up with PISPWV President Robert Fluharty who is pleased with the results.
"The conference was a success,” he said. “The best part was the diversity in training topics. From the ethics professor discussing the importance of integrity and standards in work to the State and Federal Agencies discussing interaction with private service.”
The biggest accomplishment for me at this event was integration of the vendors into the presentation,” he continued. ServeNow.com Marketing Consultant Rick Casta gave attendees internet marketing tips. "Robert did a great job organizing this conference and lined up some interesting speakers," Casta said. "All of the feedback was very positive. He deserves a lot of credit!" For a downloadable version of Casta's presentation and 25 bonus tips, click 25 Actionable Tips for Online Marketing Success. With such a packed schedule in two days I wanted to ensure that the vendors, who provided valuable information, could snag folks during the breaks
The conference exceeded my expectations,” Fluharty said. As with this conference I wish to line up speakers who hold a credibility that inspires all attendees to expand their education.
He also hopes to include a small expo area at the next conference which can create breakout training with members on specific needs, especially considering the diversity of private investigation work in the state. As for the 2012 Annual Training Conference, Fluharty is confident that all attendees benefited from taking the time to be at the conference. “Everyone walked away with something,” he concluded.
